About this film

ADOX C-Tec E-6 is an ISO 100 colour slide (reversal) film in 135 format with 24 exposures. ADOX cuts and packs it from E-100 slide film master rolls to bridge the current shortage of slide film.

Image character

Slide film gives a finished positive: rich, clean colour and high sharpness you can see straight on a light box. Exposure latitude is narrow, so it asks for careful metering — expose for the highlights.

Best uses

Landscape, architecture and still life in daylight — anything where colour and detail matter. Finished slides can be projected or scanned.

Practical advice

Rate it at box speed, ISO 100, and meter for the highlights: blown highlights on slide film cannot be recovered. Process: E-6, which I develop in my own lab.

Frequently asked questions

Can I develop it in C-41?

Yes, as a cross-process, but you get a negative with shifted colours and high contrast. For a slide you need E-6.

How is it different from ordinary negative film?

After processing, slide film is already a positive image rather than a negative. It is stricter about exposure, and in return gives the cleanest colour.
