AGFAPHOTO APX 200 Pro 135/36 - ISO 200 black-and-white film
AGFAPHOTO APX 200 Pro 135/36 is an ISO 200 black-and-white film for situations where ISO 100 is a little too slow and ISO 400 is not quite necessary. It is a useful middle ground for walks, street work, portraits, trips and everyday scenes.
APX 200 has a pleasant balance: fine grain for its speed, good sharpness, calm contrast and a natural tonal range. It does not look overly hard, so it works for people, city scenes and textured details alike.
Technical notes
- Format: 35mm / 135, 36 exposures.
- Speed: ISO 200/24°.
- Type: black-and-white negative film, standard B&W development.
- Character: fine grain, balanced contrast and high sharpness.
What I would use it for
I would use APX 200 as an all-day roll when the light keeps changing: sun, shade, window light and cloudy weather. It gives more shutter-speed freedom than ISO 100 while keeping a tidier B&W look than many faster ISO 400 films.
Status: preorder. A practical middle ground between ISO 100 and ISO 400.
