About this film

CineStill 400Dynamic 4×5" is an ISO 400 colour negative sheet film for large-format cameras: 25 sheets of 10.2×12.7 cm, best before 12/2026.

Fine grain, a soft palette, natural saturation and warm skin tones. Wide dynamic range: rate it at EI 200–800 without a push, or push it up to three stops.

Best uses

Portrait and studio, landscape, interiors — large format in almost any light, mixed light included.

Handling

The base is thinner than on most sheet films: about 5 mil (127 µm) triacetate against the usual ~7 mil polyester. Take care loading holders and tanks. CineStill tested JOBO 2509N reels, the SP-445 and tray processing — all worked; with Mod54 reels in a Paterson tank the innermost sheets can slip out of their tracks under vigorous agitation.

Practical advice

Store refrigerated at 13 °C or below and let the box reach room temperature before opening. Process: standard C-41.
