ILFORD PAN F+ in a 30.5 m bulk roll
A 30.5 metre bulk roll of ILFORD PAN F+ ISO 50/18° black and white film for loading your own 135 cassettes. One roll usually gives about 18 cassettes of 36 exposures; the exact number depends on your leader and trimming.
PAN F+ is Ilford’s finest-grain film: very fine grain, crisp edges and high resolution for the best detail and big enlargements. It is a classic emulsion, not a T-grain film like Delta.
Good to know
- you need a bulk loader and empty cassettes;
- Ilford recommends developing PAN F+ soon after exposure, because its latent image is less stable than that of other Ilford films;
- ISO 50 shines in bright light or on a tripod.
Frequently asked questions
How many cassettes does a 30.5 m roll make?
About 18 cassettes of 36 exposures. Load shorter cassettes and you get more.
Why a bulk roll rather than ready-made cassettes?
Per cassette it works out cheaper, and you choose the length yourself, for example 12 or 24 exposures for tests.
