About the film

Kodak Ektachrome E100S is a professional colour reversal (slide) film from Kodak, 135 format, 36 exposures, ISO 100, daylight balanced. The «S» stands for Saturated: Kodak made this version with boosted colour saturation. This is expired film: it was best before 06/1998.

What to expect

Slide film ages more visibly than negative film. After this many years expect possible colour shifts, lower contrast and shallower shadows. How strong — nobody can say in advance; it depends on how the film was stored.

Practical tip

Give it extra exposure: EI 50 instead of box speed. Develop in E-6 — or in C-41 for a cross-process look. If the frames matter, shoot one cassette as a test first. I can develop and scan it for you.
