About this film
Kodak Gold 200 is a colour negative film rated at ISO 200 in 135 format with 36 exposures, processed in C-41. Fresh stock, best before 07/2028.
What you get
Sold by the roll: one cassette in an unlabelled storage canister, without the cardboard box. Kodak packs it in threes, so I include the box only when you take all three rolls.
Image character
Warm colour rendition with slightly higher saturation and contrast than the professional Kodak Portra 160. The grain is more visible and the exposure latitude narrower than Portra’s — but Gold is considerably more affordable.
Best uses
Everyday photography in ordinary light: walks, travel, family, street and celebrations.
Practical advice
Gold 200 is at its best in daylight; slight overexposure gives denser negatives and softer shadows.
Processing: standard C-41. I can develop and scan it for you — film development and scanning. There is also a boxed Kodak Gold 200 three-pack. For experiments, there is expired Kodak Gold 200 from 1992–2005.
