About the film

Kodak Ektacolor Pro Gold 160 (GPX) is a professional colour negative film, ISO 160, 135 format, 36 exposures, for the C-41 process. Kodak made it for portrait and wedding work: natural skin tones and soft contrast. These rolls come from a factory Pro-Pack of 5 and are sold one at a time. This is expired film: it was best before 09/1999.

What to expect

After this many years colour negative film usually gains base fog, loses contrast and speed, and colours may shift. How much — nobody can say in advance; it depends on how the film was stored.

Practical tip

Give it extra exposure: EI 25–50 instead of box speed. Processing: standard C-41. I can develop and scan it for you.
