Kodak VISION3 500T 5219 AHU is a fast tungsten camera negative for 3200 K, EI 500, ECN-2 process, in the new AHU design with no carbon Rem-Jet. Hand-spooled from an original Kodak 400 ft roll, 36 exposures.
This is the evening and night film: neon, shop windows, bars, interiors, mixed light, concerts, handheld available-light work. Kodak built 500T as a fast tungsten negative with improved shadow performance and generous highlight latitude — it is the easiest way to that cinematic look. In daylight with an 85 filter it rates EI 320; many people shoot it unfiltered and correct the balance when scanning.
This batch is AHU (CAT 751 0449). The recommended process is ECN-2; C-41 is possible as a cross-process, but tell the lab it is the AHU version.
