Kodak VISION3 50D 5203 is the finest-grain stock in the VISION3 family: daylight balanced at 5500 K, EI 50, a camera negative for the ECN-2 process. Hand-spooled from an original Kodak 400 ft roll, 36 exposures.

This is the bright-light choice: sunny days, landscape, architecture, a studio with strong light, outdoor work. Grain is barely readable, detail is at its highest, and the highlight latitude is the VISION3 signature. Under tungsten with an 80A filter it works at EI 12.

Note: this roll is the previous generation, with the carbon Rem-Jet backing (CAT 800 3675). It must not go into an ordinary C-41 machine — the layer has to be removed mechanically, so the film needs a lab that handles ECN-2 and Rem-Jet. I develop this film myself.
