About the film
Lucky SHD 100 is a black and white negative film from China’s Lucky Film factory (乐凯, Baoding), here in the new “new generation” (新一代) box. ISO 100, a 135 cassette with 36 exposures and DX coding. Best before May 2027.
What it is for
Daylight shooting, landscape, portraits, architecture — anywhere there is enough light and you want fine grain. It is an affordable black and white film that is easy to learn on, both shooting and developing yourself.
Shooting and developing
Expose at ISO 100. It develops in the standard black and white process — D-76, ID-11, Rodinal and similar developers; take the time from the chart for your developer. If you would rather not develop it yourself, I develop black and white film in my own lab.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from Lucky SHD 100 in 120?
It is the same SHD 100 line, but in a 135 cassette with 36 exposures and the new box. For medium format there is a separate Lucky SHD 100 120 card.
Is it good for a beginner?
Yes. ISO 100 works well in daylight, and black and white is the easiest process to develop yourself.
