Notebooks for logging your film shots
A set of two Analogue Photography Notebooks by Vetro Editions. They were designed as a companion to Andrew Bellamy’s book Analogue Photography (Otherwhere Studio) and help you record the settings of every frame, so you can later see how shutter speed, aperture or a filter shaped the result.
What’s inside
- a quick reference guide with film shooting tips;
- sections for logging lens, aperture, shutter speed and filters for 35mm films;
- blank pages for notes, sketches and diagrams;
- a contacts page, so you don’t lose the people you promised photos to.
Materials
The cover is Italian Fedrigoni paper with a woven texture and high tearing and folding strength; the inside pages are smooth ivory paper that is pleasant to write on. Both papers are FSC certified and the corners are rounded. The notebook is compact enough for any camera bag.
My tip
I suggest logging every roll from the first frame: number, film, EI and light. After development these notes show exactly where to adjust your exposure and save film on the next shoot.
