The Bellini Color Reversal Film E6 kit processes colour reversal (slide) film, making 1 litre of working solutions.
What it is for
Slide film is the only process where you see the finished image directly on the film, with no scanning or printing. The price is narrow latitude and strict tolerances: E-6 forgives neither temperature nor timing the way a negative does. The one-litre size suits it — E-6 solutions are short-lived, and a large volume would age before it was used.
How to dilute it
A litre processes about twelve 36-exposure films.
The first developer's temperature is critical: 38 °C with tight timing. An error there shifts not only density but the colour of the whole slide, and nothing downstream can fix it.
Storage
Sealed concentrate keeps well but dislikes air: the emptier the bottle, the faster it oxidises. Decant the remainder into a smaller bottle, or displace the air — that is what gets a concentrate to its last measure.
