Cyanotype’s copper relative: the same iron chemistry as the light-sensitive base, but the image is built from copper compounds. Four solutions and a toner in the set.
Instead of Prussian blue, warm reddish-brown tones that the toner can shift further. The process is rare precisely because it gives a colour neither cyanotype nor Vandyke can reach, while staying a simple contact process.
The same logic: contact negative, UV exposure, water development. If you have printed cyanotypes, no separate experience is needed — the chemistry changes, the sequence does not.
Do I need a toner as well?
One is included. It sets the final colour; without it the print stays in the process’s base tone.
