Rollei RCD Vintage Classic is a premium liquid concentrate for developing black and white paper, 1 litre.
What it is for
The maker claims unsurpassed maximum black at very low fog — the pair of figures that decides whether a print rings or not. The solution keeps and works for a long time, so it suits tray and machine printing alike.
How to dilute it
The solution is replenishable — kept and reused, with development time extended as it exhausts. Keep count of the films put through it; that is the only way to avoid an underdeveloped roll at the end of its life.
Storage
Sealed concentrate keeps well but dislikes air: the emptier the bottle, the faster it oxidises. Decant the remainder into a smaller bottle, or displace the air — that is what gets a concentrate to its last measure.
How it compares
Its shelf neighbour is Rollei RPN Print Neutral: that one is about neutral tone, this one about the classic look of a print.
