Rollei RPN Print Neutral is a premium liquid concentrate for black and white paper, 1 litre, neutral in tone.
What it is for
Neutral tone means the developer adds neither warmth nor coolness — you see what the paper maker built in. That makes it the base to work from if you intend to tone afterwards. Unsurpassed Dmax and very low fog are claimed; the solution is stable and long-lived.
How to dilute it
The solution is replenishable — kept and reused, with development time extended as it exhausts. Keep count of the films put through it; that is the only way to avoid an underdeveloped roll at the end of its life.
Storage
Sealed concentrate keeps well but dislikes air: the emptier the bottle, the faster it oxidises. Decant the remainder into a smaller bottle, or displace the air — that is what gets a concentrate to its last measure.
How it compares
A direct rival to ADOX Neutol, also neutral. If you intend to tone your prints, a neutral developer beats a warm one: the toner then behaves predictably.
