Rollei RWA Wetting Agent is a final rinse aid for film before drying.
What it is for
It shortens drying time and evens it out — which is to say it removes runs and drop marks. But unlike ordinary wetting agents it does two more things: it is fungicidal and antistatic. The first matters for an archive, since mould on gelatin ruins negatives permanently; the second is simply practical — the film attracts less dust while it dries.
How to dilute it
The working dilution is 1+100.
Storage
Sealed concentrate keeps well but dislikes air: the emptier the bottle, the faster it oxidises. Decant the remainder into a smaller bottle, or displace the air — that is what gets a concentrate to its last measure.
How it compares
Dearer than Kodak Photo-Flo, but the fungicide earns the difference if you keep negatives for years or live somewhere damp.
