SPUR TRX 2000 is a liquid concentrate for black and white film, 250 ml, a high-speed developer.
What it is for
A negative developer that combines speed with sharpness — an uncommon pairing, because fast developers usually pay for speed with soft edges. It is the modern successor to SPUR's well-known SLD, and also comes in 500 ml.
How to dilute it
It is a one-shot developer: mix the working solution, use it, discard it. That is the most predictable way to work — every film is developed in fresh solution, so times need no extending from roll to roll.
Storage
Sealed concentrate keeps well but dislikes air: the emptier the bottle, the faster it oxidises. Decant the remainder into a smaller bottle, or displace the air — that is what gets a concentrate to its last measure.
How it compares
Its nearest neighbour is Speed Major from the same range: both are about speed, TRX 2000 rather more about sharpness. The catalogue already carries SLD, which this replaced.
