About the film
ADOX HR-50 with SPEED BOOST is a high-resolution black-and-white film, ISO 50, 135 format, 36 exposures: very fine grain, high resolving power and a super-panchromatic emulsion you can also shoot through an infrared filter. This is expired film: it was best before 07/2025.
What to expect from expired film
It expired recently, so there is usually no visible change. A light base fog and slightly lower speed are possible, depending on how the film was stored.
Practical tip
Expose at EI 40–50 — box speed or a third of a stop more. Processing: standard black-and-white; HR-DEV or FX-39 II give a softer contrast. Fresh stock — ADOX HR-50, best before 01/2028.
