About the film

Ilford Pan 100 is a black-and-white negative film, ISO 100, from HARMAN technology, which makes ILFORD films in England. 135 format, 36 exposures, best before January 2028.

What it is good for

Daylight shooting: street, travel, landscape, architecture and portraits in good light. ISO 100 gives fine grain and clean tonal transitions, so the frames enlarge well.

Shooting and developing

Expose at ISO 100. It develops in any standard black-and-white process — Ilfosol 3, ID-11, D-76 and similar developers; take the time from ILFORD's current chart for Pan 100. If you would rather not develop it yourself, I can develop it in my lab.

FAQ

How is Pan 100 different from FP4 Plus?

FP4 Plus is ILFORD's professional ISO 125 film with wider exposure latitude. Pan 100 is a simpler, more affordable film of similar speed for everyday shooting.

Will it work indoors?

In low light ISO 100 is too slow for handheld shooting — use a tripod or an ISO 400 film such as Ilford Pan 400.
